As we begin to transition into the new “normal”, people will start returning to work in the office setting. I have pulled together the 9 best summer work looks for you in 2020. In addition to these summer work looks, I have labeled each with its classification (business professional, etc) so all of you new to the work world know exactly what you can wear when.

Outfit 1:
I love how this blazer shakes up an otherwise completely traditional summer work look. These shoes can be dressed up or dressed down, which makes them the perfect piece to add to your closet.

This summer work look is not only classic, but comfortable. These pants are breathable and will look very chic paired with the white blazer (or a colored one!). I threw in this cheetah top to give the outfit some pizazz, but you could truly mix in anything and this look would still be right on point. Check out the look below to see how you can take the top and dress it down!

Casual Friday – why the heck not?! Rewear the top from above with jeans and some sandals for the ultimate casual summer work look.

It’s summer – why not have some fun with it?! This blazer can be worn year after year, and can be dressed up or down (like shown here). The rest of this work look is made of complete staples. You cannot go wrong with a well made white tank (even one with some fun seams like this one) and jeans. These shoes are great to dress up with a work dress (see next outfit) or down like shown here. I can picture myself wearing them on a patio to happy hour in the not-too-distant future.

Outfit 5:
This dress may be one of my favorite summer work looks I’ve discovered through this process. It is so unique and can be worn to the office or to an outdoor wedding or shower. The shoes (hello again) are such a staple, but they really pull this outfit together.

This is such a classic lazy work look. Take a patterned dress, pair it with a nice shoe, and pile on some jewelry to try to look pulled together. I love these shoes – they would never go out of style – and the bag really adds to the outfit.

Of all of the summer work looks I pulled together for today, this one is my absolute favorite. It mixes that pop of color with some fun shoes, and has just the right number of accessories to really make the outfit look professional. PS: remember this blazer from the white on white look? Such a versatile piece, it really can be worn with anything. Also this dress’s cut is so timeless it’ll never go out of style.

I like to call this summer work look the “staple look” for corporate attires. All of these pieces can be worn hundreds of different ways (or reworn simply like this!). You will never go wrong with a look this basic, yet chic.

For my final look of the day, I decided lets do something simple yet elegant. You can never go wrong with such an easy dress that will truly carry you throughout the year. PS: this bag can be used for the office now and as a diaper bag later! Great investment piece.
