This last week, I had the greatest opportunity to go on my Charleston bachelorette trip with 11 of my closest friends! It was amazing! I had the best time (and I think everyone else did, too). My matron of honor did the greatest job planning, booking, and coordinating. Truly every moment was thought out perfectly, making the mini week vacay so special.
Our Airbnb was the cutest old southern home just a five minute walk from King Street. I’m so glad we did that – we ended up walking almost everywhere! The outside had a wrap around porch that we liked to sit on for happy hour in the evenings.
I shared all of my outfit details in this post, but I will be sure to link everything on my LiketoKnow.it so yall can easily shop!
Travel day! There was a small group of us all on the same flight, which made traveling way easier and more fun. When we got to the house, I went into my room and hid while everyone decorated the place. Everything looked so cute!!
That night, we went to Basic Kitchen, which had a super urban vibe. One of my favorite memories from the trip was this night.
A small group decided to order the night’s fish special. It came out of the kitchen head attached… The waitress proceeded to fake gag and say she hates the smell making it even less appealing. I did get confirmation that it was good from at least one of the consumers, but I can’t tell if his judgement can be trusted since he also willingly ate his fish’s eyeball.
I, on the other hand, had the steak bowl and bbq cauliflower and it was delicious. Bonus points: it didn’t come out looking at me.
After dinner, we stopped into a nightclub called Ink and ended up getting bottle service. I loved it there! It felt like you were in some sort of lucid dream.
The first full day! Let the games begin. The remaining few who weren’t able to arrive the day before flew in this day, making it SUCH a blast.
We started the day at brunch at The Watch on the rooftop of the Restoration hotel. The view from their balcony allowed you to see the whole city and beyond, so this was our first time actually seeing the water!
From there, we hopped on over to the Eleve rooftop bar to continue our sipping fun! Our original reservation was for outside on their patio, but since it was so hot out we moved indoors. Though I was bummed to not get to enjoy the view, the indoors was BEAUTIFUL as well (and the air conditioning was refreshing)!
The group then moved to one of my favorite places we went the whole trip – Camellias Champagne Bar. NOTHING is more my vibe than a rose colored room filled with bubbly. I, of course, went home and changed outfits before going (I had completely sweated through my first dress), so I was a glitter queen in her palace (my words, nobody else’s).
We wrapped up the night with some people going home to set up for the lingerie shower / order pizza, and the rest of the group going to a drag show. It was my first time seeing a full on show and it was a BLAST. The lead performer was hilarious, and one of my bridesmaids kept the jello shots flowing.
Saturday was PHOTOSHOOT DAY! Wooo! I know for a fact nobody was as excited as I was about this. That said, I know for a FACT everyone loves the photos (and had at least some fun) 😉
We all went to Rainbow Row (a strip there where all of the houses are different colors) and took photos. They turned out amazing! At least I think so…
The day I died. My body was absolutely over me. Voice? Gone. I spent most of this day resting. About half the group left this afternoon, and the other half explored King Street and shopped around town. I laid low and tried to nurse my poor voice so that I could still be a participant in conversations at dinner time.
That evening, it was time for our boat sailing adventures! There wouldn’t have been a better way to end the trip. It was so beautiful out on the water! We got to see dolphins and Fort Sumter. Watch the video below to get more info!
We ended the trip with dinner at Darling Oyster Bar (which was delicious). I recently discovered I love oysters (when dressed properly) and was very happy sipping on my hot tea (for my thought) and eating them.
Though I was sad to leave, I was happy to have gotten the opportunity to take a trip, wear some cute clothes, and spend time with my favorite people on earth before starting a new chapter of my life.
