The Bamboo Clutch Handbag for Summer

Year after year, this bag makes a comeback. It truly is *the* warm weather accessory! Today on the blog, we are going to be styling a true wardrobe staple – the Cult Gala bamboo clutch handbag.

What Makes this Bamboo Handbag so Special:

Much like a designer purse of a nice blazer, this bag can live in your closet forever. There are benefits to choosing to carry a bamboo bag compared to your traditional straw beach one.

Here are some of my favorites about this one in particular:

1 - It’s environmentally friendly

A bamboo bag is eco-friendly in general just because of its nature. When broken down, all of its particles are 100% biodegradable. Talk about a great Earth purchase!

Now, there is an importance to check when buying a bamboo bag to ensure it is actually bamboo and not something synthetic combined with bamboo (which can be the case in many of the more budget friendly options).

This particular purse is 100% moso bamboo. It is vegan and is highly regarded in the fashion world. Other than the brass hardware, nothing has been added to it or combined with it to make it cheaper or easier to build. This increases the price tag, but also increases the value.

2 - It was built to last forever

Bamboo is sturdy, and I’m not just talking compared to straw or polyester fibers. It is used a lot of time for construction because of its fibers and the fact it can withstand temperatures up to 4000 degrees fahrenheit. That means this bag is essentially invencible, and is going to be able to survive you after one too many cosmos on the beach with ease.

3 - It was made for every day

This handbag was made to be a clutch, a crossbody, or an oversized wallet inside of a tote. Though it comes in a box with a cloth bag for you to store it in during the off season, it was made to play a part in your day to day excitement during the summer season.

Pair it with a sundress and throw it in a tote for the beach, carry it as a clutch with a gown for a summer wedding, or wear it as a crossbody with white denim (like here!) for happy hour.

A Glimpse Inside the *It* Bag...

Dressing the Bamboo Bag for…

1 - Happy Hour

A breathable, floral top is something I wear on repeat during the summer! This one could also be layered under a blazer and worn to work. I love this simple look as well with a pair of white distressed denim jeans and butterfly earrings

The bag’s chain is high quality and even looks trendy compared to a lot of detachable chains out there. You could even upgrade it for a silver or fabric one if you wanted to add some more options!

2 - a Patio Dinner Date

This is the bag in my favorite format – clutch! I just love the detailing.

This blue and white romper makes me think of vacationing off the coast of Italy! So stunning! The cut is modest yet flattering, and the minimal heartline bust would flatter any chest size.

Since I wanted the bag and the romper to be the show stoppers in this outfit, I accessorized them minimally with an evil eye bracelet, stunning – yet subtle – gold leaf ring, and some light, square rim sunglasses.

3 - a Beach Vacay

This dress is from the brand I am obsessing over right now. Bring on the patterns and the brights!

Clearly, I am loving all the gold layerables for summer! Buying a few lower to mid range pieces (between $40-100) can insure you have quality staples to play around with without breaking the bank (or turning your skin green). These earrings and this chain link ring are two of my favorite finds in this price range.

4 - Day to Day

This may be my favorite outfit of the series because it is so chill. A simple necklace, an oversized band tee (that you can actually say you know and listen to!), some straight leg jeans, and the bag filled with allllll of your necessary things. Throw these things on with a simple pair of elevated white sneaks and some oversized sunglasses (which are currently on sale!) and you’ll be ready to run errands with the windows down. Fantastic.
