Hot Pink Flutter Sleeve Dress you Need for Summer

How I'd style a ruffle sleeve dress

The Hot Pink Flutter Sleeve Dress as a Summer Uniform

Anyone who knows me knows I operate in two ways: I’m either dressed head to toe in neutrals, or I’m making a statement that goes with the season’s colors. Typically, for summer, this includes pink. In today’s article, I’m going to tell you why a hot pink flutter sleeve dress needs to make its way into your closet for summer, and how I personally would style it.

The Hot Pink Dress Styled

While I’m going to be listing several options for hot pink ruffle sleeve babydoll dresses, I want to talk about the one I’m wearing and what I like about it. The babydoll style is breathable, bump friendly (for all of my mamas-to-be out there), and can be worn out and about or as a cover up.

Here are some of my favorite hot pink finds:

How I'd Style a Hot Pink Dress with Ruffle Sleeves for...

1 - a day out and about

For a day out and about, I chose to style the cult favorite Hill House nap dress. It is functional, a great length, and perfect for going around and getting things done.

I am OBSESSED with this bag. Want it, need it… It is the perfect size tote to fit everything you need in it, and is the most beautiful color so it can go with everything! Running errands? Save the environment by putting your purchases into the tote! Going to work at a cafe? Put your laptop in it! Hopping on a plane for a quick getaway? Put a couple of outfits in it and skip the line to check a bag! It’s amazing how versatile it is (and how cute it looks with the Hill House nap dress in hot pink)!

Butterflies are my favorite thing right now. Don’t believe me… check out this round up, my Whimsical Butterfly Gift Guide, or my article about why this year is my Butterfly Year.

When out running errands, the last thing you want are earrings that are going to get caught in your hair or stuck to your neck in the summer heat. These butterfly wing earrings are so simple and cute (plus a great price point) for amplifying your look while on the go.

The sneaker with dress trend right now is hot. I love it as long as the sneakers aren’t too chunky. These beige Keds are a great option for a look like this because they are comfortable, under $50, and honestly complement the bag! Success.

When out running around, I love to add some drama to my look, even if it is completely functional. These oversized cat eye sunglasses do exactly that. The pattern on them is so fun, it really pulls the outfit together. My favorite part about oversized sunglasses? They are harder to lose inside of your bag!

2- the pool

For the pool look, I chose to style the hot pink babydoll dress because it most looks like a coverup. That said, any of the ones I linked above would be great options for this type of thing, and would be easy to pack for vacay!

This swimsuit is SO adorable and could be worn as a bodysuit with jeans or – as it’s intended – as a swimsuit. The deep V gives the opportunity to layer some necklaces or wear it solo.

I love this sunhatit is monogrammable in any color thread, comes with multiple colors for the bow (the one I have has a pink bow… surprise!), and is extremely packable without getting messed up. Plus… did I mention it’s only $60?

When at the pool and in the sun, sunglasses are essential. This pair is trendy without being over the top, and only $15! You’re 1000% going to get plenty of usage out of them.

If you’re going to the pool without the proper skin routine, you’re just asking for dry skin and wrinkles. This Daily Dose not only protects with 40 SPF, but it also hydrates to keep your skin from drying out.

Earrings that go with both the suit and the dress? Yes please!! I love that the emerald looks so cute with the hot pink babydoll dress. These can be worn at the pool, or thrown on after a day there to get ready for dinner. Did I mention they are in one of the top shades for summer? So you are bound to be wearing them on repeat.

I’ve talked about this water bottle several times on my Instagram and in some of my collages (including this one about Amazon finds for the gym), but clearly I’m still not over it. This water bottle is one of my latest Amazon finds and it is CUTE. It helps me keep track of how much water I’ve had to drink, is clear (but also comes in a matte white and a matt black), and has the prettiest gold top.

3 - happy hour

For the happy hour look, I decided to style the deep V midi flutter sleeve dress. For a chill occasion like this, it could be so fun to accessorize a dress like this with a fun necklace stack or other jewelry pieces! This necklace stack pictured here is only $15 on Amazon and is a great, affordable way to test out a necklace stack before designing one of your own with higher quality pieces.

The early 2000s are back, baby! That includes all things: accessories, denim… and shoes! These slip on heels remind me of what my Fashion Polly dolls used to wear and I love it. These have a great sole for stability, and the top strap is wide enough that it shouldn’t rub at your feet. Such a win.

I love that this bag is a crossbody with the capability of being carried like a clutch. Its gold hardware is simple yet sophisticated, and it’s structured well enough to be your go to for everyday use! Plus: the gold tones will make your earrings pop.

Mismatching earring pairs are trending right now… and as long as they make sense, I am about it! These evil eye ones are such a statement, and the subtle hints of blue on them will help play up the hot pink dress! Since they are dangly, they’ll add some flare to your look, and bring attention to the ruffle sleeve look.
