How to Make the Perfect St Patrick’s Day Outfits with Closet Basics You Already Own
Typically, I have a little bit more of an intro on my posts. If you’re here though, that means you are looking for something quick and easy… so that is what this post is going to be! Let’s make St Patrick’s Day outfits out of what is already in your closet!
In today’s article, I will be covering:
- How I operate / approach buying things for events and holidays
- How to make outfits out of three staples you already have in your closet
- Other accessories I love for this particular holiday!
How I Operate When It Comes to Shopping for Events
I am a woman who operated one of two ways.
Way number 1: I invest in an item I can wear year after year and that’s just my “thing”. For example: my Christmas onesie is fantastic. If I’m ever invited to a holiday party, I know exactly what I’m going to wear. Same with my “rodeo shirt” (I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas… don’t judge). If people ever decide to go explore the stockyards, two stepping, or attend an off season rodeo, I’m ready to go! Those are both pieces I spent a little bit more money on and know I have at my disposal. They are like my closet staples – but for partying.
For St Patrick’s Day, this item would be something like a nice pair of sunglasses with a green tint, a pair of green sneakers, a green button down blouse / shirt, or something so insane it’d have to be kept hidden the rest of the year.
Way number 2: I use actual closet staples to create an easy outfit, and then accessorize them with what I need for whatever event it is. That is what we are going to be doing today! Dressing up for St Patrick’s Day using the staple items you probably already have in your closet.
