Summer Reading List 2020

I am so excited to share my Summer Reading list for 2020 with you today!

To be completely honest, I have gotten behind on my reading since starting the blog, so I am hoping that making my list will help keep me honest. There also are so many great reads on my list that I don’t know where to start!

Something about the summer makes me want to read more. It could be the crispy page turns in a lounge chair, or the fact it gets so hot out in Texas that reading is one of the only ways to be entertained!

I received this book from a blogger book exchange, and I am super excited to give it a read! This thriller takes place in New York city and stars a drama student named Claire Wright. All I know about it is there is a murder and a need for a confession, and Claire gets wrapped up in the middle. I just know this will be a page turner, which is why it is at the top of my reading list! I cannot wait to give it a go.

This book is about the enneagram and the road to self discovery. I’ve heard it can help you identify other enneagrams more clearly, and see things from their points of view. Excited for this little nonfiction add!

I have had this book on my shelf for years untouched. The other day I was having a conversation with a coworker, and this author came up. He went on about how remarkable he is at putting things into different perspectives, and that The Tipping Point is the book that put him on the map. I immediately added the book to my summer reading list, and I hope this is the first of many Malcolm Gladwell books I read!

I try to integrate in at least one Christian based book in every rotation of books I read. This one made my summer reading list because it sounded timely. The entire concept is around trusting God with your life, and since I started the blog, I haven’t spent as much time thinking about this type of thing or thanking Him. I’m hoping this read will help reconnect me with my faith and calling, and bring God more into my life and writing.

I love wine so much, so I am hoping this book will help expand my knowledge on it more, to then also do more for my readers as well! As many of you know, I have a whole section of my blog dedicated to wine, and I want to do more! I’m talking collaborations, tastings, the whole shabang! Before I can do that though, I want to make sure I am doing the best I can to be a great educator and sipper.

I gave this book as part of the blogger book exchange I mentioned earlier, with the preface that I want it back to read myself after 🙂 This book was a part of Reece Witherspoon’s book club list, and I have been interested in it ever since. Truly cannot wait to get my hands back on it!

This will be my first read, since I am hosting a book club discussion about it! I am forcing myself to read the book before watching the show, and with two of my queens in the show, I need to read it ASAP!
