True Myth Cabernet Sauvignon: a Review
So, I want to start out by saying True Myth Cabernet Sauvignon surprised me a little bit (not that I had any preliminary knowledge on the contents at all). Someone actually recommended I write about this bottle via my Instagram and I went with it. The first thing I thought when I sipped it was “wow, this tastes somehow exactly as the bottle looks”. Weird, right? Very mystical. Let’s get started digging into it.

The Details
The first thing I tasted when I sipped on this wine was Coca-Cola. It wasn’t expected, but I liked the surprise. That taste was shortly followed by plum, which excited me since it was the first time I had correctly identified it in a wine. It was sweet, but not sweet enough to be misclassified as a merlot. If I was to pair it with something, I would opt for a nice red fish, like a salmon. Something light would really balance out the flavors.
How to Sip
As I recommend with most of my other red wines, sip this bottle from a glass with a larger mouth. It will allow for the wine to breathe in the glass. This optimizes the flavor, which is important, especially when it comes to these more affordable bottles. I absolutely love these large glasses (below) because they allow for you to swirl the wine, oxidating it, without making a mess!
