Last Minute Wedding Prep you need to do to Feel Ready for your Big Day

Last Minute Wedding Prep for the Week of our Wedding

I can’t believe we are only 5 days away from our wedding! When we got engaged 527 days ago, I couldn’t even picture doing any big picture preparation, let alone last minute wedding prep – we were so far out!

Now all of the big boxes have been checked. Our engagement photos have been taken. My bridal shower has happened. Guest lists have been created and stretched and shrunk (10x over). With only the last few days of single life ahead, I am trying to find ways to stay zen throughout the process. As someone who struggles with anxiety, this is crucial for my mental health and well being.

Things I am Doing to Prepare during the Final days before our Wedding

Looking for things you can do to make you feel 100% on your big day? Use my wedding prep below as a checklist!

Drinking Water

You heard me – WATER. This is the pre wedding self love I need. If you’re feeling insecure or worried about puffiness on your big day, water is the answer. I used to be the water drinking queen, but once the pandemic happened, water (and fitness, obviously) went out the window. Sipping water makes your body and mind happy, so I am using it to cleanse myself and lessen my anxiety leading up to the big day.

Working Out

This goes hand and hand with the water drinking above, but I am trying to get back into a workout routine leading up to the big day. It doesn’t matter that we are on the final countdown. Fitness lessens stress and gives me time to be alone leading up to the big day.

New, well sized activewear always makes me want to work out harder! Check out my guide on Athleisure Wear Worth the Money to find your new favorite gym look.

Prepping for our Honeymoon

Nothing is more fun than picking out outfits to wear for your honeymoon! I have finally started prepping this week and am so excited to share everything while we are there! Everyone who has followed the blog for a while knows I love to know what I’m packing ahead of time (though I typically don’t actually put items into a suitcase until the morning of)!

It’s so crazy to me that just 18 months ago going international every couple of months was a norm for me. Now, I don’t even remember what it is like to travel to another state, let alone abroad!

Getting in the Final Dress and Rehearsal Dinner Outfit Fittings

The thing I am looking forward to the MOST is getting to try my dress on that one final time before the big day! I know once I have it on in all of my final measurements I will feel way more ready to walk down the aisle.

Preplanning Content

The unique thing about being a blogger is my time off situation. Unlike the traditional 9 to 5 job, I don’t really get to take vacations without giving up valuable creation and research time. Right now, I am working hard to write all the articles I need to have ready to go while I am gone. I’ll be using the scheduling tool on WordPress to make sure everything goes out when it is supposed to! Being more active on the blog and working out were two of my 2021 goals, so I’m glad to see my prep work for the wedding is staying consistent with what I’ve wanted since the start of the year!

Trying to Relax

I think this goes without saying, but I am getting nervous in these final days leading up to the big wedding! Finding some “me” time really has been such a virtue (even if it means having a glass of prosecco on the patio at 1 in the afternoon. Only somewhat kidding).
