Vibrant Vacation Outfit Inspo You Need for your Upcoming Trip
I run across the same issue every year… finding the right vacation outfit inspo that works for me and helps me pack my suitcase in an appeasing, workable manner. This year, vibrant colors are all the rage… and at a resort, you know you are going to be seeing everyone dressing to impress! In today’s article, I am going to be showing you all of the vibrant vacation outfit inspo you need for your upcoming trip. I’m also going to be naming each look after the staple item you should invest in to make your wardrobe flawless for the entire season.
Vacation Outfit Ideas
Get ready to check out all of the vacation outfit inspiration you need to upgrade your wardrobe before your upcoming trip. All of these looks have fabulous patterns that you can play up to get the look you want! As always, I tried to find sustainable items, but also mix in a few things at a lower price point so that there is something for everyone available.
In each title, I am going to say the “staple” item I am styling. This can be a pair of earrings in this year’s color (emerald!), a pair of denim shorts, etc. Then, read the notes below each of the looks to hear what I styled it with and why!
1 - Emerald Earrings to Wear with Everything (including this fabulous Dress)!
Love that the dark green in these hoops brings out the green tones in this vibrant dress! They are such a great find (especially since emerald is huge this year).
This dark leather tote bag can be used year round and is perfect for travel. It can fit a laptop, a spare outfit (in case your clothes get lost) and even other bags if needed. It can be used as both a purse or a weekender bag! A well valued investment piece for sure.
Do I even need to get into why I love this dress? It is festive and perfect for a beach getaway. The ruffle hem and busted scoop neck details are flattering and make this dress even more unique than just the pattern itself.
A good beachgoer knows sunscreen is essential! This Daily Dose by Supergoop not only is SPF 40, but it contains a hydrating serum specifically to make sure your skin doesn’t get dry from the sun’s rays. Such a win.
2 - A Staple pair of Denim Shorts with a Bright Look
The SLEEVES on this top take it from cute to fabulous with their 3D flare. (PS: this cut looks amazing on just about every body type).
Square earrings add such a fun twist to the traditional gold hoop. They can make even the simplest outfit into something a little more modern and trendy.
A good pair of high waisted denim shorts are such a wardrobe staple. I love the wash on this pair in particular – not too dark, not too light. It also has the right amount of distressing to be fun without looking ratty.
You can never go wrong with a simple pair of nude heels. The slide on style is all the rage this spring to summer season. I love to mix and match my leathers (like I did here with these nude shoes and the white leather purse). Just make sure your hardwares match! The gold from the bag strap really makes the gold earrings pop.
3 - White Paperbag Shorts You will Live in all Season
White paperbag shorts can take you from the pool to dinner. This pair is lightweight and high waisted, so go ahead and have that extra cocktail 😉
A festive bikini top can be worn to the pool or under an oversized blazer as a cropped top. I personally would wear this one with white shorts (as pictured here) or with high waisted jeans under a hot pink oversized blazer.
4 - Pearl Earrings with a Twist… Mix and Match Textures to Bring Out the Best in a Colorful Dress
The textures from the bag, shoes, and even the earrings here are all different, but complement each other when paired with a fun print (like this fabulous dress). I love that there is no green anywhere in the dress / elsewhere in the outfit, but the green shoes (which are trending this season) somehow just work and pull everything together nicely.
I must comment on these earrings individually (which is why they were the item in the title). Pearls are ALWAYS a summer must have. I like that these add that extra edge to the outfit without being too over the top. They can be worn in the summer / on a trip with an outfit like this, but also paired with something classier (like a cocktail dress) to an event like a wedding and the transition would be seamless.

5 - Color Play with a Feminine One Piece
This swimsuit is feminene and fun! I love the cut of the waistband – the way it arches up ever so slightly in the middle can make all the difference on how it lays on your body. I love that a one piece can be worn to the pool, but when washed it can also be worn as a bodysuit under a pair of high waisted jeans or denim shorts (like listed above). I personally would wear this suit with a pair of white paper bag shorts out to dinner one night, and then to the pool a few days later with the look shown above. Two outfits out of one item!
